Shabana Mahmood MP has joined with other MPs to ask the Vice Chancellors of the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge to take action on access and reforms to their admissions process. 

It is clear, following the release of data under a Freedom of Information Request, that a very troubling picture has emerged.A quarter of all students are drawn from just 8 local authority areas. This is a huge regional disparity which requires  immediate attention.
