Shabana Mahmood is calling on her constituents to take part in her summer survey to let her know their views on the public health and economic responses to COVID-19.

Parliament’s brief summer recess started this week and Shabana will be continuing to raise issues and concerns on behalf of constituents as lockdown restrictions are further eased across the country. The Birmingham Ladywood MP is keen to hear what her constituents have to say on a variety of issues, including the public health messaging around the pandemic, the type of economic recovery local residents want to see, and where they believe investment and jobs support should be focused.

Shabana Mahmood MP said:

“This has been an incredibly difficult time for everyone. People have lost family members, many have lost their jobs, as well as having faced unprecedented disruption to their daily lives. Over the summer months, I want to hear from local residents from right across the constituency as to how we can ensure we build back better.”

People across Birmingham Ladywood are being asked to fill in the survey to help inform Shabana’s Parliamentary work. The survey can be accessed via: birminghamladywoodcrs.com.

Shabana added:

“The response to Covid-19 must take into account the views of the people we represent. The views of people who have suffered, and are still suffering, significant hardship from this pandemic. We need to rebuild our economy so that we reduce inequality, not increase it. I want to make sure that the voices of my constituents are heard loudly and clearly in Westminster as we rebuild after the pandemic.”
