Shabana has called for a national strategy for coronavirus support in a parliamentary debate on restrictions due to Covid-19.

The debate, prompted by lack of guidance and support for those facing Tier 2 or Tier 3 restrictions, took place after Manchester was placed into Tier 3 restrictions this week.

Birmingham remains in Tier 2, however many business have been in touch with Shabana regarding the lack of financial support for those forced to close or alter their business activity.

Shabana has recently written to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Alon Sharma MP, regarding their concerns.

In her comments, Shabana made it clear that the government is dividing our country when the need for unity has scarcely been more important.
