Shabana asked Birmingham artist Stacey Barnfield to loan pieces for display.

Birmingham has well and truly landed in the Ministry of Justice, with pieces by artist Stacey Barnfield on display.

Three pieces by the Birmingham artist will be displayed at the Ministry of Justice and in Shabana’s parliamentary offices.

Stacey’s trademark Birmingham Colour Palette and two watercolours have been loaned for display.

In a handover at the Ministry of Justice, Shabana thanked Stacey for putting Birmingham landmarks on the map with his creative designs.

Speaking at the handover, Shabana said:

Stacey’s famous water colours and Birmingham Colour Palette pieces capture the spirit of our city and have become icons of the Birmingham creative scene.

Looking around the office, I knew I had to have a statement about our city in the heart of the government.

Stacey’s pieces will be seen by visiting dignitaries and politicians from around the world. I look forward to explaining to them what the ‘floozie in the jacuzzi’ actually is!
