Shabana speaks to Chief Constable about Hockley Shootings

Shabana Mahmood MP has spoken to the Chief Constable of the West Midlands Police Force following another shooting in her constituency.

One man was killed and another was injured in the shooting which took place on the early morning of the 29th November in the Soho Hill area.

Following a street surgery in the area on Friday morning Shabana spoke to Chris Simms about the need for extra police resources to be directed at Ladywood Constituency.

Shabana said:

"I asked the Chief Constable to put further police resources into clamping down on this violence. This is the second shooting incident in the constituency this month alone and people are understandably very worried. I also asked for the Chief Constable to meet with me and the Police and Crime Comissioner as soon as possible and for a public meeting to be arranged. We need to stop this cycle before it spins out of control."
