Shabana Mahmood has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Birmingham Ladywood.

Shabana was elected with 33,355 votes, with a majority of 28,582 votes.

Speaking at the election count on December 12th, Shabana said:

“I fought this campaign as I fought the campaign in 2010, 2015, and 2017 – as a local representatives who stands up for Birmingham Ladywood day in, day out.

“I’m pleased that the diverse communities of Birmingham Ladywood have put their faith in me once again to be their Member of Parliament.

“Tonight’s result is a victory for Ladywood. I will continue my work on behalf of all of my constituents, not just those who have supported me over the last 9 years, to make our community the best place it can be.

“Thank you once again for putting your trust in me.”
