Shabana Mahmood, MP for Birmingham Ladywood, has launched her Summer Survey to find out what constituents think of the constituency and how communities can benefit going forward.
The Summer Survey is timely as it is also a chance for constituents to share how the pandemic has affected them. Be it difficulties with securing much needed services whilst social distancing or finding new ways to move around the area, Shabana wants to know.
The Summer Survey will run from 26 July 2021 until 31 August 2021.
The information gathered will support Shabana in being able to steer services and investment towards what constituents want. This listening exercise will focus on the following areas:
- Cleanliness of our neighbourhoods;
- Road safety; and
Shabana Mahmood, MP for Birmingham Ladywood, said:
“This year’s Summer Survey is designed to reach as many people as possible in Ladywood. I’m hoping that we can hear the views of those who don’t normally engage in politics because they think it’s not for them. The survey shows that politics is local and having your say can help us improve our community.
“I hope that once you have completed my survey you will pass it on to friends and family to ensure we hear lots of different voices. The survey looks at a number of key issues such as road safety, housing and litter on the streets: all things that affect our everyday lives.
“The survey will run all summer so you will have lots of opportunity to take part. The information gathered will help me hold the Government to account for the policies they implement in Brum. But most importantly it will ensure that more people engage in the decision-making process to make our city even better.”
