Shabana comments on ‘partygate’ fines for Prime Minister and Chancellor

Commenting after the news that the Prime Minister and the Chancellor are set to receive fines for breaking Covid-19 rules during lockdown, Shabana Mahmood said:

“The Prime Minister and the Chancellor of the Exchequer have both broken the law and taken the British public for fools.

“They have lost all authority to ask others to obey the law. It cannot be one rule for them and another for everyone else.

“They must resign immediately.”
